Unique Capabilities

I know how difficult it is searching out for good advice and a sound advisor.

I hope that by becoming acquainted with me personally you will allow me to

be of some assistance to you.

In the early stages of communicating with someone I don’t know, I want

to know as much as I can about them, and you might feel the same. This is

particularly true when interacting on the Internet. Therefore, I’d like to

share some of my life with you. Soon I will put together some “period” photos

to go along with my history.

My wife Elizabeth and I grew up in Milwaukee where we actually lived down

the street from one another while growing up and never met! It wasn’t until

I was age 17 (1977) and one month before leaving to serve in the United

States Marine Corps (USMC) that I met my future wife when she attended

my farewell event with a mutual friend.

After exchanging letters for three years, I knew I had found the woman I didn’t

want to live without ( her home baked cookies sealed it for me). Honorably

serving in the USMC until 1982 I knew it was time for a change. I felt that I

should spend more time at home, because being a member of the Rapid

Deployment Force, had me living out of my duffle bag for long periods of

time.  So, I decided to enter the United Stated Air Force (USAF) as an

Aircraft Technician. Repairing C-130 Cargo Aircraft in Arkansas and later

was an Aircraft Technical teacher for 3 years in Champaign, IL, where I attended

college at Eastern Illinois University, pursuing a major in education.

In 1989 we both missed our close family ties, having now served my country

for 10 active years,  we decided it was time to move back to Milwaukee. What

is rather strange is we moved right back to the same street where we both grew up.!

At this point in our lives our two young sons were born, seems being home

more worked!  My two sons Nathan, and Jacob, to this day are still a real joy

to us.  I also continued to serve in the Wisconsin Air National Guard

(WIANG) with the 128th Air Refueling Group at General Mitchell Field until

late 1994.  It was time to wear a different uniform.  I ask you, “What is it about

being “dirt” poor, while serving our country, being the most fond and  greatest

time of our lives?”

I would enjoy an email from you vets out there who feel the same way!

In 1995, I became interested in helping families of high school age children

carve out a financial plan enabling them to send their children to college. I soon

began focusing on retirement planning and estate preservation when in 1997 my

dear wife’s grandmother age 87 moved into our home. We cared for her until

she passed away in 2003 at the great age of 92. . This home care might not be

for everyone, but it sure taught my family and I how blessed we were to have

this opportunity to give back to our loving family for all they have done

for us over the years. Caring for our Grandmother's estate was the beginning

of my pursuit to financially help other's in their own financial investing, or estate

needs and  the rest as they say is "history".

We also decided to  "home school" our children Nathan & Jacob and have done

so successfully for the past 15 years. It's a bit of a challenge, but "knock on wood"

we have fine young men scoring high on ACT tests in furthering their education, and

will soon be off to college. Time certainly passes quickly.

Remaining independent was also important to me, so that I could offer "any" financial

product or service that I could find that suited my clients needs.  Not being "captive"

to any one product or service has served my clients well.

My business philosophy is simple:

"Diagnose and prescribe,  Not Sell and Close",

                                 and

"Would I recommend this for my own parents"

I  hope this information about me helps you to "give me a call" or just chat over

email.  It will be an honor in speaking with you and providing information, with no

obligation or commitment on your part.

All the best to you,

Donald M. Loper
